Pint of Science – Bern

May 20 – May 22

Come by and discuss research with the people who carry it out, and a glass of your favourite drink! No prior knowledge of the subject is required.  

Pint of Science is a science festival happening in pubs all around the world this May. The idea is simple: bring active researchers into a relaxed place where you ask them questions, have discussions and get an idea of how science is done today.

In Bern there are two locations: The City Pub and the Krone Bar. We will have talks, games and discussions in English and German on the following topics:

Monday 20.05.19, 18-22 Uhr:
City Pub: Klimawandel: Was sollen wir machen?
The evening will be in German.

Krone Bar: Astrophysics: What the Higgs is out there?
The evening will be in English.

Tuesday 21.05.19, 18-22 Uhr:
City Pub: Tiere in der Forschung: The good, the bad and the ugly
The evening will be in German.

Krone Bar: Frauen in der Wissenschaft: Yes, we can!
The evening will be in German.

Wednesday 22.05.19, 18-22 Uhr:
City Pub: Philosophy of Science and Science of Music
The evening will be in English.

Krone Bar: Schlaf und Gehirn: Tour durch das Unbewusste
The evening will be in German.
